In accordance with the decision of Government of West Bengal, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Medical Counselling Committee, Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (IPGME&R), Kolkata, will conduct the admission process for state quota candidates, who have been allotted seats in the institute, as per the schedule published on the wbmcc.nic.in portal. Concerned candidates are advised to carefully go through the applicable rules & regulations and participate in the admission process by reporting on the scheduled days. While every effort will be made to keep the admission office open on Sundays and public holidays, as per the recommendations of central MCC, it may not always be possible to do so because of local constraints. Candidates may contact on the numbers mentioned below and plan their schedule accordingly.
Candidates are advised to go through the notice, arrange all documents, pay fees online and get the necessary bonds ready and then visit the college office. This will make the admission process smoother and avoid crowding.

Fees
Fees payable are Rs. 18,050/- (Rupees eighteen thousand fifty) only for all categories of candidates. No concessions are applicable. Fees are to be deposited online and pdf copy of the transaction receipt generated to be saved and produced at the time of admission.

The fees paid are refundable [excluding the Admission Fee of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two thousand) only] if the candidate gets upgraded in the next round and leaves the college or if a candidate surrenders his/her seat while the admission process is still ongoing and the online surrender window is available. Refund has to be claimed by submitting an application PHYSICALLY or through E-MAIL within 3 months of the end of the full all-India admission process. Enclose proof of fee payment with the application. After verification in the accounts section of the college, the refund amount will be credited electronically to the bank account, details of which have been provided by the candidate in the fee payment declaration form.

Please arrange all documents in order of the checklist and put them in a clear bag type plastic folder before coming to the admission office – one set originals and one set clear photocopies. This will make the admission process smoother and easier.

For Open category candidates who have passed MBBS from outside West Bengal: Appropriate Domicile Certificate (as mentioned on wbmcc.nic.in)
For Open category candidates who have passed MBBS from outside West Bengal: Any two photo ID proof (from among Voter card / AADHAAR card / Passport) of any one parent issued in West Bengal showing residence in West Bengal.
For candidates with previous postgraduation: Previous Diploma / Degree certificate (course to have been completed and all bond obligations, if any, met by 15.08.2024)
For in-service candidates (WBHS / WBMES / WBPHAS): Declaration letter to the Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of WB, to the effect that incumbent for the in-service seat fulfils all the conditions/eligibility for service quota and Trainee Reserve.
For in-service candidates (WBHS / WBMES / WBPHAS): Certificate from the Institute Head or Custodian of the Service Book to the effect that incumbent for the in-service seat fulfils all the conditions/eligibility for service quota and trainee reserve.
For in-service candidates (WBHS / WBMES / WBPHAS) Posting order and joining report for claiming in service category seats under ‘Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of WB’.
For candidates in service in government or semi-government institutions in WB (other than WBHS / WBMES / WBPHAS): ID card and NOC from employer, stating at least 3 years of regular service in WB along with mention of place of posting. Such letter should also indicate whether the candidate should draw stipend from the admitted institute (in which case, service bond will have to be furnished).

Bonds must be made computer printed or typewritten on appropriate denomination non-judicial stamp paper. Information at the blank fields must also be entered computer printed or typewritten – hand-writing is not acceptable. Candidates may get the bonds ready by filling-in blank fields appropriately, getting clear prints and then getting them duly notarized. Note that local courts will be closed on Sundays and public holidays.
The college will make all efforts to accommodate candidates in genuine difficulty for any reason. However, requests to admit in the absence of essential documents WILL NOT be entertained. Further, even if a seat is allotted by MCC, admission under any Reserved Category or Person with Disability Category WILL NOT be done in the absence of valid documents. No such requests will be entertained.
Requests to admit without fee payment WILL NOT be entertained.
